COFEB I’R DYWYSOGES GWENLLIAN AR Y WYDDFA
Yn dilyn cyfarfod buddiol iawn prynhawn dydd Mawrth 14 Awst 2007, rhwng
tri o gynrychiolwyr Cymdeithas y Dywysoges Gwenllian a thri o swyddogion
Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri ym Mhencadlys y Parc ym
Mhenrhyndeudraeth, cafwyd addewid y bydd modd i’r Gymdeithas osod y
gofeb hardd o waith y ceinlythrenwyr, Ieuan Rees, ar graig neilltuol ger
y copa. Mae hwn yn newyddion da iawn, yn dilyn y siomedigaeth a gafwyd
pan hysbyswyd y Gymdeithas nad oedd modd gosod y gofeb yn ‘Hafod Eryri’,
yr adeilad newydd sy’n cael ei adeiladu ger y copa.

THE PRINCESS GWENLLIAN MEMORIAL ON SNOWDON
Following a very constructive meeting held in the afternoon of
Tuesday 14th August 2007, between three representatives of the
Princess Gwenllian Society and three officials from the
Snowdonia National Park Authority, at the Park’s Headquarters in
Penrhyndeudraeth, a promise was made that the Society would be
able to erect the beautiful memorial stone, designed and crafted
by the renowned calligrapher Ieuan Rees, on a rock very near to
the summit. This is great news following the initial
disappointment of being told that the memorial could not be
erected in ‘Hafod Eryri’, the new building now under
construction near the summit.
